Yesterday, the CNA Education Committee held a meeting to discuss our next steps and develop a plan of action to follow through on our vote held on Thursday, May 4th. The Education Committee intends to speak at the upcoming scheduled CMS meetings as well as reach out to our CMS representatives directly to address the concerns of our neighbors. We will also look to share our ideas on a potential alternative to the CMS proposal based on the results of the vote. We would like to invite all of our neighbors to join these meetings to obtain information as well as voice their own opinions. To show further solidarity, we would ask that you wear a gray shirt and if possible, wear a Hilly Chantilly 5K shirt. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the upcoming events:

Tuesday May 9th 6:00PM, CMS Education Board Meeting to Address Public Regarding CMS Proposal
Location: Government Center, 600 East Fourth Street

Time: 6:00PM

The Board of Education holds regular monthly meetings, open to the public, on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the Government Center, 600 East Fourth Street, unless indicated otherwise on the meeting schedule. Live broadcasts of regular board meetings air on CMS-TV Cable 3 and are video-streamed live; videos of past board meetings may be viewed by clicking the archive link below.

Citizens have the opportunity to address the Board of Education at the first regular Board meeting of each month. Speakers will be given up to three minutes. Documents from speakers will be placed in board member boxes and will not be distributed during the meeting. Sign up to speak by calling Board Services, 980-343-5139 option 4, by 12:00 p.m. the day of the meeting or at the dais prior to the call to order. Public Hearings provide citizens the opportunity to address the board regarding new policy or policy revision. The schedule of public hearings can be found here.
